Overcoming Trademark Rejection in China with Industry Identity
Overview

We encountered an unexpected obstacle during our design mark registration process in China. Despite facing rejection due to similarities with Warner Brothers' design mark, we remained undeterred in our marketing endeavors, leveraging the distinct identity and unique positioning in a different industry.

The Challenge
We aspired to secure trademark registration for our distinctive design mark. The trademark application faced rejection on the grounds of similarity to Warner Brothers' design mark, prompting concerns about potential brand confusion and legal implications.
Outcome

Although our trademark faced rejection, it's evident that our company background and service portfolio differ significantly from Warner Brothers'. As a result, we have chosen to continue using our design mark, considering the clear distinctions between our industry and sectors.
